With A Stocking Filled With Good Things

This year, in place of our traditional Toy Drive, we’re asking guests to make a $35 donation on behalf of Fête Noire to Kindred Promise in support of our annual fundraising efforts. The donation will provide custom holiday stockings to children undergoing medical care in hospitals.

Each stocking costs $35 to create and is filled with comfort items, sensory-friendly surprises, creative activities, and a personalized message of encouragement.

Kindred Promise launched Evangeline's Stocking Drive in 2019, with great success. They were able to deliver over 700 stockings full of supplies to Charlotte, NC and New York City children in the hospital, and their families. In 2020, 2021, and 2022 they delivered over 1000! Kindred Promise is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization, founded by a preschooler with a big vision to help others. Their mission is to serve children and families in need, creating opportunities for kids to develop emotional intelligence and a strong sense of community. We invite you to join us in supporting their work and helping bring joy to families during some of their most challenging times.

Group Gatherings Keep Our Spirits Bright

We fondly remember the big house parties, especially our grand finale in 2023 when nearly 800 attendees came together to create the largest toy drive in our history. That celebration supplied more than 170 children with an entire Christmas. Last year, through smaller gatherings and social outreach, we were still able to provide gifts for 140 children, a true testament to the generosity of this community.

As we continue to gather in different places across the region, we celebrate the legacy of the thirty-year Fête Noire house party. While we're exploring possibilities for future large events, our focus for now remains on smaller gatherings that still capture the authentic and spirited nature of Fête Noire.

We can't emphasize enough how remarkable our Fête Family is. Every act of kindness, every donation, and every joyful moment shared has allowed us to bless the community in ways that wouldn't be possible without you. Thank you for thirty-one years of unwavering support.

Although the large annual party is scaling down to more intimate social events, the mission continues. We're still collecting toys and cherishing opportunities to gather in smaller groups. October will bring a series of planned events, and once again, we look forward to reconnecting at the annual OMB Christmas Market. Seeing so many of you in 2024 was a joy, and we're excited to create new memories at the 2025 market.

Our commitment also continues with the Allegro Foundation. Whether you bring a toy to a fireside night, join a group outing, or contribute directly to Allegro, know that your support is deeply appreciated. Together, we've accomplished so much through the years, blessing countless children and families through toy drives and donations.
